Bollywood actor Kareena Kapoor will unveil her wax statue at Madame Tussauds in Blackpool, England, on Oct. 27.

The statue of the 31-year-old actress was scheduled for unveiling in the second week of September, but the event was postponed after the death of her boyfriend Saif Ali Khan's father, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, DNA reported, citing a source close to Kapoor.

According to sources, Kapoor, who had cancelled all her schedules till the first week of October, finalized the date after consulting the museum authorities.

The actress would be missing from the Toronto premiere of her forthcoming film "Ra.One" as the unveiling of her statue falls on the same day.

The wax statue portrays Kapoor's look from Sudhir Mishra's film "Chameli" (2003). In the film, Kapoor essayed the role of a prostitute called "Chameli," and won many awards, including Filmfare's "Special Award for Best Appearance." The museum authorities wanted Kapoor's wax statue to appear in Indian wear. Hence, her character "Chameli" was chosen.

Kapoor's look in the film was designed by Manish Malhotra, who scoured the streets of Mumbai to get the look of a sex worker.

The unveiling of Kapoor's waxwork will also kick off a global exhibition featuring wax statues of Bollywood stars Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, among others, which will be taken to six major countries, including Hong Kong and Thailand.

Kapoor's mother Babita will accompany the actress for the event as her boyfriend Saif Ali Khan and sister Karisma Kapoor will be busy shooting for their films, "Agent Vinod" and "Dangerous Ishq," respectively.

Kapoor will be the seventh Bollywood star to get her wax statue installed at Madame Tussaud's.
