Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan's present lull in her film career could just be over as she is being considered for some interesting projects.

The actress' queen bee tag of Bollywood came under question after her marriage to Saif Ali Khan as her younger counterparts took over the lead from her in the recent times. To add to it, her signed projects like "Shuddhi" and "Bombay Samurai" faced hiccups.

But now the actress is being considered by director Bejoy Nambiar for a Vidhu Vinod Chopra film. The film will feature an impressive cast including Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar, who would be seen in crucial roles. Khan's role as the female lead in the film is expected to be an interesting one, reported Apun Ka Choice.

The film is expected to go on floors later this year and it remains to be seen whether Khan gives positive nod to the project.

Earlier, Khan was set to pair up with Akhtar in "Bombay Samurai" but the film's fate became uncertain with repeated postponements. If things fall into place, the actors might finally be seen together for the Chopra-produced film.

Another film to have knocked Khan's door is Sujoy Ghosh's "Durga Rani Singh." It has come out that Kangana Ranaut who had recently replaced Vidya Balan in the film has opted out of the project due to her tight packed schedule. And the "Kahaani" filmmaker is now keen to rope in Khan for the part.

Ghosh is said to have approached the actress with the role of a 35-year-old mother of a paralytic girl. But the "Heroine" actress appears to be a bit doubtful since two leading ladies have already refused the film.

"Kareena is understandably a bit sceptical since the role has gone to two other actresses before. But she has been keen to work with Sujoy ever since 'Kahaani' and the logistics between the two are now being worked out," a source informed DNA.

The tabloid further reported that the director will fly off to Goa to discuss the project with the actress where she is presently shooting for Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty's next "Singham Returns".

If Khan signs the film, it would certainly mean a big move for the actress since it is essentially a women-centric project. The film could work wonders for Khan's present stagnant career as "Kahaani" did to Vidya Balan.

Another film offer which has hinted at Khan's name is Ashutosh Gowariker's "Mohenjo Daro." Recent reports have claimed that Khan and Priyanka Chopra's names are doing rounds for the Hrithik Roshan starrer period drama. The film was initially offered to Deepika Padukone and then Katrina Kaif but the actresses had turned down the role owing to their busy schedules.
