Karbonn has rolled out its Smart A12 budget smartphone in India with a price tag of ₹7,990.

Karbonn Smart A12 sports a 4.5-inch capacitive screen with qHD display and is powered by Broadcom's 1GHz ARM Cortex A9 processor. It runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system and packs 512 MB of RAM along with 4GB of internal storage, which can be expanded by up to 32GB via microSD card. With an additional smartphone in its budget handset portofolio, Karbonn hopes to rake in more sales and also reposition itself in the Android market.

The smartphone houses a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and auto-focus and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. On the connectivity front, the device supports 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. It supports dual SIM capacity and packs a 1800 mAh battery.
