The Indian smartphone market is currently bustling with low-cost smartphones with high-end features churned out by local manufacturers.

According to a recent survey, Micromax and Karbonn have become the top five smartphone makers in India, giving MNCs a run for their money with their affordable quad-core smartphone which are priced almost half the cost of international brands.

Now, another local player, Intex Technologies, launched the Aqua Wonder Quad Core for ₹9,990, intensifying the competition among domestic players in the market.

Many believe that it will be an uphill task for the Intex smartphone to be able to achieve a strong consumer base that Micromax smartphone A116 Canvas HD has gained. But it will be interesting to see if it can match the second popular Indian smartphone Titanium S5.

Both Karbonn and Intex smartphones boast 4GB internal memory with options of expanding up to 32GB. However, Titanium S5 takes the lead as it houses 1GB RAM and 2000mAh. Aqua Wonder features a meager 512MB RAM and a 1800mAh battery.

Price:

According to reports, Titanium S5 price begins at ₹12,090, while Aqua Wonder Quad Core is currently priced ₹9,990, almost ₹2000 lower than its competitor. This might a play crucial role on the minds of thrift middle class buyers who look for affordable smartphones with standard to high-end features. Currently, Intex Aqua Wonder is probably the cheapest quad-core device in the market which is priced less than ₹10,000.
