In less than 24 hours after Indian smartphone makers Micromax and Lava launched their tablet PCs into the market, Bangalore based company Karbonn has intensified the competition for market share in the lucrative tablet business by launching an affordable voice-calling tablet called TA-Fone A37.

The dual-SIM based Ta-Fone A37 sports a 7.0-inch capacitive screen with 480x800p display resolution and it runs on the Android mobile OS v4.1 Jelly Bean powered by a dual-core processor with 1GHz CPU speed. It packs 512MB RAM and storage capacity of 4GB with options of expanding memory up to 32GB.

On Tuesday, Karbonn's rivals - Micromax and Lava - had launched 7.0-inch mini-tablet PCs Funbook Talk P360 and E-Tab Connect, respectively, with similar internal hardware components.

Karbonn TA-Fone A37 is currently available on Snapdeal.com for ₹8,499, whereas Micromax Funbook Talk P360 is available for ₹7,049 on Saholic.com. Lava E-Tab Connect is available on Flipkart.com for ₹8,499.
