The latest buzz in tinsel town is about the growing friendship between ace filmmaker Karan Johan and his buddy Shah Rukh Khan's arch rival Aamir Khan.

In the past couple of months, Aamir and Karan were spotted chatting with each other on several occasions and the recent bonding has kicked off rumours that the duo are planning for a venture together.

Rumours of their friendship gained foothold after Aamir had visited KJo at his residence and had personally wished him on his birthday. The actor was also among the list of guests who left late after the the birthday bash.

Recently, Aamir's wife Kiran Rao had arranged for a special screening of her upcoming "Ship of Theseus" and Karan was all praises for the film.

"It makes you feel very inferior as a filmmaker, it's that brilliant. It is such a film which I cannot make as I neither have the talent nor strength to make such a beautiful film," Karan said.

Although neither Karan nor Aamir have made any comments, sources from the industry are looking forward to a joint venture by the duo.

Aamir is presently shooting for his upcoming project and third instalment of Dhoom Franchise titled "Dhoom 3" which is set to hit the screens on 25 December. Apart from Aamir, the film will also feature Katrina Kaif, Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra.

Karan's directorial venture of the year "Bombay Talkies" was a flop but "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani", which is produced by Dharma Productions and features ex-flames Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, was a blockbuster.

Karan is also set to make his acting debut through Ranbir-Anushka Sharma starrer "Bombay Velvet", in which he will be seen playing a grey character.
