"The Kapil Sharma Show" will soon see an addition to its cast. Debina Bonnerjee is joining Kapil Sharma's team as the "hot and glamorous" wife of Kiku Sharda's character in the show.

However, whether Debina will become a permanent member in the team will depend on the viewers' response. "I will be playing Kiku's hot and glamorous wife, who will accompany him to Kapil Sharma's sari store. My track might be extended depending on the response the character gets," the Times of India quoted Debina as saying.

According to the report, the makers of the show had been planning to include her character in the show for a long time. Debina started shooting for "The Kapil Sharma Show" on June 29.

The report also said that the actress had recently shot for an episode of "Comedy Nights Bachao" too. This happens to be a rival show of "The Kapil Sharma Show." Debina had earlier worked in TV shows like "Yam Hain Hum" and "Savdhaan India."

Earlier reports had also said that Chandan Prabhakar, who plays the character of "chai wala Chandu," will be leaving "The Kapil Sharma Show" for a new show titled "Indian Mazak League." However, Chandan had denied quitting Kapil's show.

"As of now, I am not quitting 'The Kapil Sharma Show' and Kapil has no issues with me doing 'Indian Mazak League'. There would have been a problem only if the two shows were airing at the same time. Kapil's show is very dear to me and there is no way I will quit it," the actor had told TOI.
