Kannada television actress Shruthi committed suicide Tuesday, March 1. She ended her life at her friend's residence in Kachohalli near Madanayakanahalli in Nelamangala taluk, reports The New Indian Express.
Shruthi, who was seen in a small role in Kannada television serial "Avanu Matthu Shravani," was at her long-time friend Shrikanth's house along with her two friends to attend a birthday bash where the duo had an argument. The daily adds that she was upset and locked herself inside a room.
When Shruthi did not respond to repeated knocks, Shrikanth with his friends broke the door open and found her hanging from the ceiling.
She was married to a businessman for seven years and lived in Harohalli on Kanakapura Road.
The Madanayakanahalli police are investigating the case and waiting for the autopsy report. The daily claims that the cops have not discovered any external injury on her body.
Meanwhile, Shrikanth has been arrested after the deceased's husband Umesh filed a case against him under IPC section 306 for allegedly abetting her suicide.
