2015 will be a busy year for actress Shruti Haasan, who has six films in her kitty - four Bollywood films and one each in Tamil and Telugu.
Shruti, daughter of Kamal Haasan, will be seen opposite Akshay Kumar in "Gabbar", with John Abraham in "Rocky Handsome" and "Welcome Back" and opposite Vidyut Jammwal in "Yaara". She will also be working with Vijay and Mahesh Babu in untitled Tamil and Telugu films.
"She's been working tirelessly, round the clock juggling between her film and brand commitments, while also making time for her music. Shruti has got a very interesting line up that spans various genres and ensures different looks and character graphs," a source close to Shruti told IANS.
Recently, the actress was seen shaking a leg with Arjun Kapoor for a song in the upcoming film "Tevar", which has Arjun and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead. The actress also lent her voice in the film for the track "Joganiyan", penned by Kausar Munir.
The action drama "Gabbar", directed by Telugu filmmaker Krish and produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures, is scheduled to release worldwide on 3 April.
Directed by Nishikant Kamat, action thriller "Rocky Handsome" is an adaptation of the Korean film "The Man from Nowhere" (2010); the film will be co-produced under John's home banner John Abraham Entertainment.
"Welcome Back" is a sequel to the comedy flick "Welcome" (2007), directed by Anees Bazmee and produced by Firoz Nadiadwala. It will also feature Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor and Paresh Rawal in the main roles.
Helmed by Tigmanshu Dhulia, action film "Yaara" will be an official remake of the French film "Les Lyonnais" (2011); it will also feature Irrfan Khan in a pivotal role.
Shruti's upcoming Tamil flick, tentatively called "Vijay 58" by Vijay fans, will be directed by Chimbu Deven and also feature Sridevi, Hansika Motwani and Sudeep in lead roles.
The actress' untitled Telugu film will be directed by Koratala Siva under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers.
