Rumours about Kamal Haasan's next movie have been making news for quite some time. The latest we hear is that the Ulaganayakan will kick start his next on Tamil New Year day, which falls on 14 April, 2015. 

Kamal Haasan had recently uploaded a video while he was scouting for his upcoming movie. Reports suggest that the star himself will direct this movie, which has been touted as a thriller.

Sources close to the movie claim that pre production work of the movie is taking place in full swing. Apparently the actor is waiting for the release of the much awaited flick "Uthama Villain" on 2 April so that he can completely involve himself in his next flick.

It has also been said that Kamal Haasan will be soon associate with a Hindi movie too.

"Kamal sir recently returned from locating scouting in Mauritius for his next film, which will be a thriller with high-octane action. He has plans to direct it as well. He is expected to collaborate with producers Virender Arora and Arjun K. Kapoor for a Hindi film. It will be a political subject," a source close to the actor told IANS.

There are also reports that Kamal Haasan would be part of a movie directed by Prabhu Deva

Besides "Uthama Villain", Kamal Haasan is also awaiting the release of movies "Papanasam" directed by Jeethu Joseph and "Vishwaroopam 2" directed by the actor himself.

For "Uthama Villain", Kamal Haasan has donned several hats. Apart from being the lead actor, he has also penned the screenplay and dialogues for the film. He has also sung for the film and is the lyricist and the story writer of the movie. He is also one of the producers of the flick.

Directed by Ramesh Aravind, "Uthama Villain" also stars Urvashi, Andreah Jeremiah, K Viswanath, Pooja Kumar, Nasser, Jayaram, MS Bhaskar and Parvathi Menon.
