It was reported recently that Kajal Aggarwal was signed to play the female lead in Ajith Kumar's forthcoming Tamil movie, which is presently referred to as "Thala 57." The latest buzz is that the actress had to sacrifice a biggie in order to bag the "Mankatha" star's flick.

Rumours are rife that she opted out of "Garuda" to work in "Thala 57." The actress had signed Vikram's forthcoming movie, but the project was delayed for some reasons and she could not adjust her dates for this flick as she had committed time to Ajith's film.

Hence, the "Thuppakki" girl decided to walk out of "Garuda," which is an action-thriller written and directed by Thiru. This is second time she has missed out on an opportunity to work with Vikram after "Iru Mugan."

The actress is currently busy with a few films, including Jiiva's "Kavalai Vendam."

On the other hand, the "Thala" unit is ready to start its regular shooting from next week. The first schedule will commence at Bulgaria and a major part of the film will be shot in foreign countries.

Kajal Aggarwal and Ajith will take part in the opening schedule. The makers have planned for a 40-day schedule in Bulgaria and the film unit will return to India in September.

The upcoming movie is written and directed by Siruthai Siva, who is teaming up with Ajith for the third time. The movie has Anirudh's music, Vetri's cinematography and Anthony L Ruben's editing.

"Thala 57" is produced by Sathyajyothi Films.
