Even as the countdown for the release of Rajinikanth's "Kabali" has begun, there is growing demand from fans of the superstar to release the trailer of the Tamil film. People on Twitter are requesting the producer to release the video clip before its D-day on July 22.

"Kabali" has created huge buzz with its teasers. The first teaser, which gave an outline to Rajini's character and the subject of the film, has garnered a record 2.5 crore hits with over 4.46 lakh likes on the official YouTube page of the production house. This is just an indication of the fans' craze around the film.

After the successful release of the film teaser and a song teaser, fans have been curiously expecting the trailer to hit the internet with a bang before the movie's release. But so far, there are no signs of its release. Freelance journalist Priyanka tweets, "Fans seem 2 b not satisfied with teasers. Now, thy demand 4 trailer which is unlikely 2 relse #Kabali #Rajinikanth. [sic]"

The industry insiders say that the makers are wary of the buzz that "Kabali" is creating. Hence, they are not willing to over hype the flick as it might have an adverse impact on the film.

Nonetheless, fans have come up with many unofficial trailers of "Kabali." Notable among them remains the one created by a group of 13 members from Coimbatore which can be seen below:  

"Kabali" is an action-thriller directed by two-film old Pa Ranjith and produced by Kalaippuli S Thanu. It tells the story of an ageing gangster played by Rajinikanth, which has Radhika Apte in the female lead role.

The Tamil film is simultaneously releasing in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi in over 5000 screens worldwide. Meanwhile, the makers have revealed that there would not be premieres in Tamil Nadu. The confirmation came from the producer after reports of special shows being organised on July 21 started doing rounds on the internet.
