The makers of the movie have already sold out its theatrical rights to various international distributors, who have shelled out record prices.

The Rajinikanth starrer is also being released in the U.A.E, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Denmark, Holland, Sweden, South Africa, Oman, Kuwait and other Middle East countries. But the distributors are yet to release their schedules.

The Pa. Ranjith-directed gangster movie will be premiered at the Le Grand Rex in Paris, France. "Kabali" is expected to release in over 2,000 screens in the key international markets. The film will also be dubbed in Thai and Chinese and talks are currently under way to release the film in over 5,000 screens in Hong Kong and China, which may happen at later date.
