Songs of Rajinikanth-starrer garner earth-shattering response
The songs of "Kabali" have gone viral among South Indian cinema goers. The audio of the multilingual movie was released on Saturday, June 11.
The craze around the "Kabali" album was such that the audio witnessed record sales. Journalist Kaushik LM tweets, "#Kabali music - 1st batch of 10000 CDs sold out on Day 1 itself- 2nd batch of 5000 CDs also almost sold out.. @thinkmusicindia #rajini. [sic]"
It has also become a sensation among netizens as the songs have got earth-shattering response. The combined hits of five songs comes close to 60 lakh hits on the official YouTube page of Think Music, the audio rights holder of the flick.
"Neruppu Da" number from the movie is the most viewed song. It has garnered over 28 lakh hits with 36,000+ likes and 1,200+ dislikes. "Ulagam Oruvanukka" track comes second with above 12 lakh hits. It has garnered 18,000+ likes and 700+ dislikes.
"Maya Nadhi" song is nearing 6.5 lakh hits with over 7,000 likes and close to 200 dislikes. "Veera Thurandhara" is in the last position getting close to 6 lakh. It has garnered above 5,600 likes and 200+ dislikes.
