The audio of "Kabali" has got good response from the critics and audience. They have appreciated music director Santhosh Narayanan for coming out with a couple of goods songs with his trademark touches.

The music was formally launched on Saturday, June 11, at Sathyam Cinemas in Chennai. The original plan was to unveil the album on Sunday, June 12,  but the makers advanced it by a day after a song clip was leaked online.

The songs, composed by Santhosh Narayanan, in "Kabali" did not strike a chord with the listeners instantly like Rajinikanth's usual films. But with multiple hearings, the numbers started getting positive reviews from the audience.

Critics opine that "Kabali" songs will become more popular when watched with visuals. "Neruppu Da," "Ulagam Oruvanukkaga" and "Maya Nadhi" have won the hearts of the audience.

However, Rajinikanth's fans are missing SP Balasubrahmanyam songs in "Kabali." He has been a regular singer in the superstar's films. This time, the album features songs sung by not-so-established singers, who have lent their voices for Rajini's character for the first time.

Many celebrities too have praised the songs of "Kabali" on Twitter. Here, we bring you their comments to the album:
