The Hindi version of Rajinikanth's "Kabali" showed a good jump in its box office collection in the north circuits, but the film failed to beat the records of "Baahubali: The Beginning" (Bahubali).
"Baahubali," starring Prabhas, is the first dubbed film to take the box office by storm. The film opened on an average note, but the business soared from its second day onwards in the north circuits. Rajinikanth's "Kabali" also followed the same trend, but the three-day collection remained lower than "Baahubali."
"Kabali," which was released in over 1,000 screens in the north circuits, minted Rs. 19.15 crore in its opening weekend. The three-day box office collection of the Hindi version of "Kabali" is better than several Bollywood films released this year, but it is 14.31 percent lower than "Baahubali."

The Pa Ranjith-directed gangster drama starring Rajinikanth and Radhika Apte has already become a hit at the worldwide box office. The collection of the Hindi version might be average, but the overseas and domestic (South) box office collections are shattering records all over.
"Kabali" is a gangster drama directed by Pa Ranjith and produced by Kalaippuli S Thanu. The film features Rajinikanth as don Kabali, Radhika as his wife, Sai Dhanshika plays the role of a sniper and well-known Chinese actor Winston Chao is featured in the negative character.
