The first-look of Selvaraghavan directorial "Kaan" was released on Wednesday. Lead actor Simbu is seen in a mass look in the poster.
Earlier, there were speculations regarding the title of the movie, but later makers confirmed that the film is titled "Kaan", which means forested locality.
The romantic thriller comes with a lot of expectations and sources say that it is going to be entirely different from the previous Selvaraghavan movies. It is reported that "Kaan" is the director's first hero-oriented film, in which Simbu will reportedly play a gangster.
The upcoming movie has Catherine Treasa and Tapsee Pannu in the lead roles.
Earlier, the film made headlines when actress Trisha Krishnan opted out of the film, citing date issues. Trisha's decision surprised many, as she had completed the photoshoot for the film with Simbu and Taapsee. It was reported that Trisha's character was a stylish one, which has now been replaced by "Madras" heroine Catherine Treasa.
Taapsee, who played a noticeable role in "Kanchana 2", will appear in a bold and glamorous role.
For Simbu, Catherine and Tapsee, this will be the first Selvaraghavan project. The director is known for his movies such as "Kadhal Kondien, "7G Rainbow Colony", "Pudhupettai", "Aayirathil Oruvan", "Mayakkam Enna" and "Irandaam Ulagam".
The music will be composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, who had earlier composed some big hits for Simbu.
