Last week, rumour based reports around the plot of "The Justice League" surfaced online suggesting that Steppenwolf will be the main villain in the first part of the film, setting up the stage for Darkseid in "Part Two."

Now, a new report by Heroic Hollywood reveals an interesting prologue for the film teasing Darkseid's story arc. It also gives an explanation for the cryptic deleted scene that Warner Bros released soon after the release of "Batman v Superman."

As of now, this is just a rumour so it's best to take the following description with a pinch of salt.

According to the website, "around 30,000 years ago, the Amazonians, the Atlanteans, and Man successfully fought off Darkseid here on Earth. He left three motherboxes behind and that folks is what Steppenwolf is after in Justice League: Part One." You can see Steppenwolf and the three motherboxes in the deleted "Communion" scene from Dawn of Justice below.

People who have seen "Batman v Superman" might also remember seeing these motherboxes during the brief scene involving Cyborg's origin.

"Justice League: Part One" stars Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry/Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Victor Stone/Cyborg, Ezra Miller as Barry Allen/The Flash, J.K. Simmons as Commissioner James Gordon and Willem Dafoe. The film opens in theatres on Nov. 17, 2017.
