While Bollywood movies are often accused of lacking originality and copying concepts and ideas from the west, there are a few English films that have an uncanny resemblence to Indian movies. 

Here are some Hollywood movies, the plot of which are very similar to Bollywood films

Just Go With It – Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya

Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston starrer "Just Go With It" (2011) is a Hollywood romedy film. The plot of the movie is similar to the Hindi movie "Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya" starring Salman Khan and Sushmita Sen. It is about how a man who convinces his girlfriend that he is going to divorce his wife (which is not true as he is not married yet) and takes help from his colleague, who pretends to be his wife. 

A Common Man – A Wednesday

Chandran Rutnam directed "A Common Man" (2013) starred Oscar winner Ben Kingsley and Ben Cross. The thriller movie is an official remake of the successful Indian movie "A Wednesday!" (2008), but Rutnam reworked the screenplay. "A Common Man" proved to be a huge blockbuster, which won any awards.

Pearl Harbor – Sangam

"Pearl Harbor" (2001) is an American war film including romance and action, which is based on the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941. The movie is quite similar to the Hindi classic "Sangam" starring Raj Kapoor, Rajendra Kumar and Vyjayanthimala, which was released in 1964. Both the movies' plots were similar in terms of the love triangle and war-action. However, the Hollywood movie was a hit, but received criticism for focussing a bit too much on the love triangle instead of the actual story of Pearl Harbor.

Amy Adams and Matthew Goode starrer "Leap Year" (2010) is a Hollywood romantic comedy, the plot of which bears a resemblence to Bollywood's hit movie "Jab We Met" (2007) directed by Imtiaz Ali. The storyline is about a talkative and bubbly girl who wanted to marry the love of her life but faces many hindrances in between. She then approaches a guy to help her and along the way falls in love with him. 

Delivery Man – Vicky Donor

"Delivery Man" is a 2013 American comedy movie based on sperm donation. The movie is quite similar to a Bollywood film "Vicky Donor" (2012) starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Yami Gautam. Both the movies are actually taken from the Canadian French film "Starbuck" (2011). The basic plot of both the Hollywood and Bollywood movies are the same.

Fear – Darr

"Fear" (1996) is said to be inspired by the Bollywood's blockbuster "Darr" (1993). While Shah Rukh Khan's remarkable performance might be tough to copy, some of the scenes of the Hollywood movie is similar to the Hindi version.  The scene where the stalker carves the girl's name on his chest is copied in the English movie.

Win A Date With Tad Hamilton – Rangeela

"Win A Date With Tad Hamilton" is a Hollywood romantic comedy movie released in 2004. This movie is similar to the Hindi movie "Rangeela" (1995) which starred Aamir Khan and Urmila Matondkar. The story plot is the same as the girl is attracted to a famous actor and tries to approach him. On the other hand, a road romeo tries to compete with that actor to win the girl's heart.
