The news about sequels doesn't seem to stop. On the latest update about Jurassic World 2, the director of the movie, JA Bayona, sat down to speak about his new venture. Stephen Spielberg's brainchild, the sequel is directed by Bayona. In a recent interview, he shared that the film could have a pseudo-political subtext to this one.

"I think there's a lot of that in the new Jurassic. I think there's a lot of possessiveness towards our creations. I think it's very interesting where the new movie is heading. It's so different from the other films; it talks a lot about the moment we live in right now," Bayona shares in an interview with Comingsoon.net.

"It's darker, but at the same time it's going to be a lot of fun. It's a blockbuster, you have Chris Pratt, it's a great adventure, but it's very interesting the way the film is darker than the other ones," he added.

With the statement on the pseudo-political scenario in the movie, the movie aims at creating something new for the viewers. However, if the political scenario represents the real day scenario, it could lead to another political uproar. If this happens, Jurassic World 2 will not be the first movie that will attract negative impact on the promotions.

Recently, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story has been struggling through an online protest as Donald Trump alt-right supporters plan to boycott the new movie. The white supremacists have asked people to not watch the movie as it has an anti-white agenda.

The director has revealed more details about the movie. "Jurassic is going to be very different from A Monster Calls or The Orphanage, but they called me because they loved The Orphanage and The Impossible and they wanted me to be leading the new Jurassic," Bayona said.

"I think you're going to find some stuff that will remind you of my movies. At the same time, I'm very aware that this is Steven's baby and I'm going to take care of his baby as much as possible, knowing where I am all the time," he added.

The film is written by Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly. The lead stars include Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard along with Justice Smith, Toby Jones and Rafe Spall. The movie will be produced by Frank Marshall and Steven Spielberg and the production is set to begin in March next year. The film is scheduled to release on June 22, 2018.
