Junior NTR's "Nannaku Prematho", which is slated to release on 13 January, has beaten the record of SS Rajamouli's "Baahubali" by getting the highest number of likes for its trailer.

The trailer of "Baahubali: The Beginning", starring Prabhas and Rana Daggubati, was released on the official YouTube Channel of the film on 1 June, 2015. The 2:05-minute video has been viewed 6,309,420 times so far. The trailer has got 35,851 thumbs ups (likes) and 2,713 thumbs downs (dislikes). It has been most-viewed trailer of a Telugu movie of 2015. It has also got highest number of likes.

The theatrical trailer of "Nannaku Prematho" was released on the official YouTube platform of Times Music South on 27 December. The video has been viewed 2,653,259 times in a span of just a week. What is surprising about this video is it has more likes and fewer dislikes than those of "Baahubali: The Beginning". It has got 38,115 thumbs ups and 1,751 thumbs downs.

Some people in the media and on social media have smelt a rat in the huge number of likes for the trailer of "Nannaku Prematho". They cannot stop asking how a trailer with las than half the views of the "Baahubali: The Beginning" trailer can get 2,000 more likes on YouTube. A few are even busy investigating it.

But one cannot claim foul play, as YouTube allows a viewer to hit the thumbs up/down button only once. Moreover, it is the brand new stylish look of young tiger Junior NTR that has been getting many into hitting the like button. The amazing background score, beautiful locales and cinematography are other things that make the viewers like the trailer.

"Nannaku Prematho" is an action family drama that deals with the sentimental relationship between a man and his father. The movie has been written and directed by Sukumar and produced by BVSN Prasad under his banner Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra. Junior NTR is seen romancing Rakul Preet Singh for the first time in this movie, which features Jagapati Babu and Rajendra Prasad in crucial roles.

Devi Sri Prasad has composed the music for the songs and background score of "Nannaku Prematho", and the songs have become chartbusters. Vijay C Chakravarthy has handled the cinematography, while Navin Nooli has edited the film, which is scheduled to be release worldwide as a Sankranthi treat.
