Jr NTR's "Rabhasa" has been censored with an "A" rating and the film is set to hit screens on 29 August.

"Rabhasa" was initially slated to release on 15 August, but was delayed as the post-production work was not complete. Now, the makers have officially confirmed the release date as 29 August.

Directed by Santhosh Srinivas, "Rabhasa" is touted to be a family drama laced with action. The film has Samantha and Pranitha as the female leads. It also has Brahmanandam, Seetha, Jayasudha and Nassar in pivotal roles.

Bellamkonda Suresh has produced the film under his Lakshmi Narasimha Productions. The producer is confident that the film will turn out to be a huge hit at the box office. This is the second time that Jr NTR has done a film for Suresh's banner after the successful "Aadi", which hit screens in 2002.

A lot is riding on "Rabhasa" as it is Jr NTR's film. The actor's last release failed to impress the audience. Fans would be hoping that "Rabhasa" lives up to the expectations and rock at the box office.

The film's teaser and the trailer have generated positive buzz about the project and the songs, composed by Thaman, have been a huge hit among the masses. "Rakhaasi Rakhaasi" song rendered by NTR has topped the charts. The makers are planning to celebrate the platinum disc function soon, reported the Times of India.

"Rabhasa" is expected to release in good number of screens worldwide and is likely to take grand openings in its opening weekend owing to long-holiday weekend for Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. However, the film's overall performance will depend on whether it impresses the audience or not.

"Rabhasa" will not have a solo release and is all set to lock horns with Naga Chaitanya's "Oka Laila Kosam," which is also eyeing a 29 August release. Earlier, the Chaitanya starrer was slated to hit screens on 5 September. According to latest reports, the film's makers are planning to release the film on 29 August to coincide with actor Nagarjuna's (Chaitanya's father) birthday.

Moreover, the post-production work of the film is complete and it is set to get censored soon. Since the film is ready, the makers want to release it in advance. "The post-production work on the film is complete and it will go for censor certification in a few days. Since everything is ready, we wanted to advance the film's release," a source from the film's unit told Deccan Chronicle.

Directed by Vijay Kumar Konda, "Oka Laila Kosam" is a romantic entertainer with Chaitanya and Pooja Hegde playing the lead characters. The film also has Brahmanandam, Prabhu, Ashish Vidyarthi, Nassar and Ali in pivotal roles. Nagarjuna is producing the film in his home banner Annapurna Studios.
