Jr NTR, who was blessed with a baby boy, has named his son Abhay Ram.
The actor held a naming ceremony on Sunday for his son, who was born on 22 July at Rainbow Hospital in Hyderabad. "Feeling very happy.just concluded my son ABHAY RAM s naming ceremony," NTR tweeted.
NTR had tied the knot with Lakshmi Pranathi in 2011 and Abhay Ram is the couple's first child. The actor, popularly known as the young tiger of Telugu cinema, took to Twitter after a few years to announce the birth of his son.
"Been away from twitter for a long time.i felt I should tweet today.we are blessed with a baby boy.thanks for all ur blessings.love u all," NTR had tweeted last month.
The entire NTR clan is said to be happy about the arrival of the new member in their family. Several celebrities including music composer Thaman, Priya Mani, Samantha, Pranitha and Manoj congratulated the new parents on their Twitter handles.
On the professional front, Jr NTR is awaiting the release of his upcoming film "Rabhasa." The film, touted to be family drama laced with action, is directed by Santhosh Srinivas.
"Rabhasa" was expected to hit theatres on 15 August, but the makers delayed the release owing to post-production work.
The NTR starrer is gearing up for release on 29 August for the Ganesh Chathurthi weekend. Samantha, Pranitha and Seetha are also part of the film's cast.
NTR has also committed to working with director Puri Jagannadh. The untitled film was launched on 1 August and the shooting has already commenced. NTR is expected to join the film's team soon.
Kajal Aggarwal will play the female lead for the third time opposite NTR after "Brindavanam" and "Baadshah." The young tiger will reportedly appearing in the role of a police officer in the Jagannadh directorial. The film is expected to hit the screens during Sankranti festival period next year.
