What would you do if your favourite movie actor donned his iconic role and stood in front of you? We wouldn't know how to react. And it was evident that Disneyland guests on Wednesday too were stunned as they watched Johnny Depp in his Jack Sparrow avatar aboard the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.

Surprising the "Pirates" on the ride, the actor treated visitors as he recited lines from the Pirates of the Caribbean movies while he waved his sword in the air. The guests at the Anaheim, California, theme park were clearly excited and shocked at the same time.

A few videos that were shared by lucky riders show Depp in the avatar not just reciting his lines but also waving at the cameras and fans on the ride.

As he finished his act for the night, the actor, in complete Jack Sparrow style bid adieu to the guests and danced his way out of the ride. Depp seems to have had a good time himself.

This is not the first time that the Depp has made his way to the theme park in the Captain avatar. Variety notes that Depp visited the 2003's Curse of the Black Pearl ride once in the past. However, this is his first visit ever since Depp has begun promoting his upcoming movie, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.

The fifth film from the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise will watch Captain Jack Sparrow returning for rip-roaring adventure. Finding himself down-on-his-luck, Captain Jack feels the winds of ill-fortune blowing strongly his way when deadly ghost sailors, led by the terrifying Captain Salazer (Javier Bardem), escape from the Devil's Triangle bent on killing every pirate at sea – notably Jack.

Jack's only hope of survival lies in the legendary Trident of Poseidon, but to find it he must forge an uneasy alliance with Carina Smyth (Kaya Scodelario), a brilliant and beautiful astronomer, and Henry (Brenton Thwaites), a headstrong young sailor in the Royal Navy. At the helm of the Dying Gull, his pitifull small and shabby ship, Captain Jack seeks not only to reverse his recent spate of ill fortune, but to save his very life from the most formidable and malicious foe he has never faced.

Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales will set off its world premiere in China with the opening taking place in Shanghai Disney Resort on May 11. Directed by Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg, the film is scheduled to release on May 26.
