Udhampur: Addressing the media in Udhampur, Northern Army Commander, Lt Gen DS Hooda said that as the weather has improved from two days and rains have come to halt, the relief work has picked up in the flood-hit areas of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that around 20,000 people have been rescued and their priority is to rescue the people stranded in their houses and provide them with the relief supplies. He also said that they are working with the civil administration for restoration of electricity connection and water supplies in the valley.
