Celebrity dance reality show "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa" is gearing up for its ninth season. Earlier, there were reports that Jacqueline Fernandez would judge the show, but the latest buzz is that Kareena Kapoor Khan may replace Jacqueline as one of the judges this season.
According to SpotboyE report, Karan Johar, who has been a part of the dance reality show for several years now, is willing to get his best friend Kareena as one of the judges on the show.
"KJo and Bebo are BFFs and he wants her to take up the offer. Kareena is on a vacation and has yet not got back though," a source told SpotboyE. Besides Karan and a female judge, there is also a strong buzz that Varun Dhawan might replace last season's judge Shahid Kapoor.
Meanwhile, names of a few possible contestants for "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9" are "Bigg Boss 9" contestants Mandana Karimi and Nora Fatehi, "Naagin" actor Arjun Bijlani, Shakti Arora of "Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi" fame and "Bigg Boss 8" contestants Karishma Tanna and Sonali Raut.
Ruhaanika Dhawan, who plays the role of Ruhi in "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" and Siddharth Nigam, who had portrayed the role of Ashoka on "Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat," will reportedly be a part of "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9." Spandan Chaturvedi aka young Chakor of "Udann" is also in talks with the makers of the show.
The last season of "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa" had Shahid, Ganesh Hegde, Malaika and Lauren Gottlieb on the judges' seat. The first few episodes were judged by Karan, but he quit the show midway due to prior work commitment and was later replaced by Malaika. Manish Paul hosted the show and engaged in a lot of humour and fun throughout the season.
