Celebrity dance reality show "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa" is gearing up for its ninth season and while several names of possible contestants of the new season have surfaced, the latest buzz is that Spandan Chaturvedi, who charmed the viewers with the role of Chakor on "Udann," is likely to participate.
The reality show makers are keen on bringing the little girl on board and are in advanced talks with Spandan's parents. "The makers are keen to get Spandan on board and the negotiations are in an advanced stage. She is likely to sign the show," a source told the Times of India. The report said that Spandan's father Sunil Chaturvedi confirmed that she had been approached to participate on the show.
Meanwhile, names of a few possible contestants for "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9" are "Naagin" actor Arjun Bijlani, Shakti Arora of "Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi" fame, "Bigg Boss 8" contestant Karishma Tanna and "Bigg Boss 9" contestants Mandana Karimi and Nora Fatehi.
Ruhaanika Dhawan, who plays the role of Ruhi in "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" and Siddharth Nigam, who had portrayed the role of Ashoka on "Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat," will reportedly be a part of "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9." There were also reports that the makers are also in talks with "Bigg Boss 8" contestant Sonali Raut.
As for the judges of the new season, Jacqueline Fernandez will reportedly take the judges' seat this time, replacing Malaika Arora Khan, who judged the previous season of the show. There is also a strong buzz that Varun Dhawan is likely to replace the last season's judge Shahid Kapoor. Both Jacqueline and Varun will reportedly be joined by Karan Johar, who has been a part of the show for the past few years.
