"Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9" opened on a grand note on July 30 and the contestants mesmerised the audience with their stupendous performances, thereby raising the level of competition from the very first episode.

Unlike the previous seasons, the ninth season has brought in a lot of twists in the format and made it more entertaining. While there is no public voting this time, the entries of the wild card contestants will also be different.

According to Tellychakkar.com , the viewers of "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9" will see only young celebrities entering the show as wild card contestants. In fact, six to seven child celebrities will feature as wild card contestants, out of which, three will continue their journey on the show.

It was reported that Siddharth Nigam, who played the role of young Ashoka on "Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat," would be the first wild card contestant.

A few other names are "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" actress Ruhaanika Dhawan and "India's Best Dramebaaz" contestants Swasti Nitya and Preetjot. Apparently, Ruhaanika, who plays the role of Pihu on "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein," is not keen on entering the show as a wild card contestant.

Meanwhile, Farah Khan will be joining the judges' panel along with Karan Johar, Jacqueline Fernandez and Ganesh Hegde in the next couple of episodes. There were rumours that Farah would be replacing Ganesh as he has been ousted from the dance reality show because of his tantrums. However, the ace choreographer clarified that he had not been ousted but would be away from the show for a long time and would return only for the last four episodes.
