For the past few weeks, "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8" viewers have witnessed shocking elimination results. From Dipika Kakar to Kavita Kaushik to Radhika Madan, the contestants who have left the show for good have surprised the audience with their unexpected exits.

And as the show is set to bid goodbye to yet another celebrity this weekend, reports have surfaced one of participants had to quit the show.

Irfan Pathan, who has done pretty well for himself and has everyone's attention, apparently had to leave "JDJ8".

"The cricketer Irfan Pathan has quit the show. Being a cricketer he had to answer to the call from cricket field. Since he has a match to play, he had to take this call end his Jhalak journey," India-Forums quoted an insider as saying.

While it's not known how disappointed fans of the cricketer will be on reading this news, Radhika's followers didn't take it well when the "Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi" actress was axed last week.

In other news, in the coming weekend, one of the show's favourite judges, Shahid Kapoor, will be missing as he has jetted off to London to spend time with wife Mira Rajput Kapoor.

It is being said Salman Khan will fill in for him for the two episodes, in the process promoting Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty's "Hero".

"To ensure that the energy quotient of the show doesn't dip in Shahid's absence, the makers have roped in Salman Khan. He will appear on the show along with Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty, to promote their upcoming film, Hero," an insider informed Hindustan Times as saying.
