"Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8" will see its first elimination in the upcoming weekend, but the evicted contestant's name is already out.

Dipika Kakar, who couldn't live up to the judges' and viewers' expectations, was eliminated, a source confirmed to Telly Chakkar.

Besides Dipika, Ashish Chowdhry, whose choreographer got injured while performing, was also in the danger zone.

The episode was shot Wednesday and the "Sasural Simar Ka" actress took to her Twitter handle later to announce her eviction. She thanked her choreographer Vaibhav Ghuge and boyfriend Shoaib Ibrahim for their constant support throughout her journey in the dance show.

"The true heroes 4 me..thank u guys 4 all ur support through dis journey..#LoveUBoth @Shoaib_Ibrahim1 @vabsghuge_1988" Dipika tweeted.

However, due to reasons unknown, Dipika removed the tweet soon after.

Ghuge, however, posted a picture on instagram, further confirming that the actress had been evicted from the show.

Meanwhile, IBTimes India had conducted a poll recently asking viewers as to who according to them should be eliminated in the upcoming week. And, the response we got corresponds with that of the "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8" result.

According to the poll result, 14.15% voters wanted Dipika to be eliminated, while 14.01% voted for Radhika Madan.
