Jayaram's 'Aadupuliyattam' movie review: Live audience response

Jayaram's most-anticipated family horror thriller "Aadupuliyattam" was released in Kerala on Friday, May 20. The Kannan Thamarakkulam-directed multi-starrer is locking horns with Dulquer Salmaan's action entertainer "Kammatipaadam" at the Kerala box office.

"Finally we are coming today. We have put our best for this film and now it's coming to you. Do watch it. And I wish the entire Aadupuliyattam team all the success [sic]," Jayaram posted on his Facebook page. 

The Jayaram starrer, which has been dubbed in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil languages is expected to give a break to Jayaram, whose movies for the past two years haven't made a mark at the box office. The movie has been in the news ever since it went on floors due to the presence of Bollywood veteran Om Puri and South Indian actress Ramya Krishnan in it.

Om Puri plays the role of a modern-day ascetic, while Ramya will be seen as Mathangi, the daughter of a tribal king. "Aadupuliyattam" also stars Sheelu Abraham, Sudheer Karamana, Saju Navodaya, SP Sreekumar, Ramesh Pisharody and Baby Akshara Kishore.

The screenplay of "Aadupuliyattam" has been penned by Dinesh Pallath and Pradeep Nair has handled the cinematography of the thriller, which is the production venture of Haseeb Haneef and Noushad Alathur under the banner of Grande Films Corporation. The movie has been distributed by the production company Play House.
