Bangalore, Sep 27 (ANI): Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on Saturday was sentenced to four years prison and slapped with a fine of Rs100 crore after being convicted by a City Special Court in the 18-year old disproportionate assets case under the Prevention for Corruption Act. Jayalalithaa has also been debarred from contesting any elections for the next ten years. She has also lost the MLA's post and will have to step down as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister. She was charged with accumulation of Rs 66 crore wealth through dishonest means during her first tenure as chief minister from 1991 to 1996.
