A photo of Ramya Krishnan in the biopic of late former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa has been making the rounds for the last few days. A website had floated the idea to sell its merchandise.

Now, Ramya Krishnan has said that playing Jayalalithaa's role will be a dream come true for her. The actress has said that she would like to be part of such projects and would not hesitate to accept if a filmmaker comes up with a good script.

Jayalalithaa passed away on December 5 after prolonged illness at Apollo Hospitals in Chennai. She remains an inspiring personality as she reached the pinnacle of her popularity in both film industry and politics with her hard work.

Jayalalithaa was born in Karnataka's Mandya district in 1948 to Jayaram and Vedavalli. She lost her father when she was two years old and the responsibility of running the family fell on the shoulders of her mother, who shifted to Chennai and started working in films as a supporting artiste.

This helped Jayalalithaa to enter films as a child artiste. Gradually, offers started coming her way and she debuted as heroine in Kannada movie Chinnada Gombe. Vennira Aadai was her first Tamil movie as the female lead and the offers never dried up after her successful debut. And as they say, the rest is history.

As a result, many are of the opinion that Jayalalithaa's story has the potential to become a good film.

On the other hand, filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has announced a new movie titled Shashikala, which is a fictional account of Jaya's friendship with Sasikala and her rise in politics.
