"Jane The Virgin" season 2 went on a midseason break after it aired episode 8, titled "Chapter Thirty", on 14 December. The CW will not be airing any new episode even on 4 January, 2016. The fans can now expect episode 9, titled "Chapter Thirty-One", only on 25 January, 2016.

Last time on episode 8, we saw how Jane was still angry at Rafael that he lied and set up her ex-fiance Michael to get him fired from his job. She keeps calm, but asks her classmate Wesely Masters to investigate Rafael and dig something out and ends up finding nothing.

At the end of the episode, the couple reconcile after attending couple therapy and the midseason finale ended on a good note. But when the season returns for the second half, it looks like Jane will realise that she is still not over Michael and Rafael will have to fight the fear that Jane may break-up with him as she still loves Michael.

According to Christian Today, when the comedy series returns for its midseason premiere, it will show Rafael dealing with the fact that Michael still holds a special place in Jane's heart. And the fact that she still cares for her ex will not go down very well with Rafael. Now, how complicated the situation gets, will be featured in the upcoming episode of the second half of "Jane The Virgin" season 2.

Though no official synopsis has been released, the promo of "Chapter Thirty-One" teases that Jane will discover that her grandfather is gay, after her grandmother reveals to her: "Your grandfather is gay and he left me for a man."

Meanwhile, some reports also suggest that Jane will meet a new man — computer wiz named Dax, and there's also a possibility that she might have a fling with her writing professor Chavez.

"Jane the Virgin" season 2 is on a mid-season break and will return with "Chapter Thirty-One" on 25 January, 2016. For more information on the upcoming episode and live streaming details, don't forget to check back here.
