After the multi-lingual family entertainer "Manamantha" ("Vismayam" in Malayalam and "Namadhu" in Tamil), superstar Mohanlal is all set to enthral the audience with his second release of the year. The Koratala Siva-directorial venture, "Janatha Garage," which also stars Junior NTR in the lead role, is one of the highly-anticipated movies of the year for its ensemble cast.
The action thriller, made in Telugu and Malayalam, is scheduled to hit the screens worldwide on Thursday, Sept. 1. The movie, which bagged 'U/A' certification for its Telugu version, has also been certified by the regional censor board in Kerala on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the advance booking for the Mohanlal-starrer has been opened at SP Cinemas in Peyad, Thiruvananthapuram and Pan Cinemas: Nucleus Mall in Kochi. More screens are expected to be opened by Wednesday evening.
The big-budget entertainer, bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers, is set to witness a grand release in Kerala as Mohanlal's Aashirwad Cinemas, in association with Maxlab, have acquired the distribution rights of "Janatha Garage." It is said that the film will be released in over 200 screens alone in the state.
"Janatha Garage" seems to be a special movie for viewers in Kerala, as it also stars Malayalam actors Unni Mukundan, Rahman, Nithya Menen and Sithara in significant roles, apart from Saikumar, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Devayani in key roles. Actress Kajal Aggarwal appears in an item song in the movie.
