Jammu and Kashmir: 2 terrorists killed in Budgam encounter

At least two terrorists were killed in an encounter between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Budgam district at around 6 pm on Saturday.

The encounter broke out in Hayatpura village of the district when terrorists opened fire on a patrolling party of the Indian Army's 53 Rashtriya Rifles, the Jammu and Kashmir Police said. The encounter is still underway.

A police official told the Press Trust of India (PTI) that reinforcements were rushed to the Hayatpura village and that the site of the encounter has been cordoned to flush out the terrorists.
