British car manufacturer Jaguar have launched their new vehicle in spectacular style, by driving it over the worlds longest car high-wire crossing above London.

Expert stuntman, Jim Dowdall, who has driven cars in the James Bond and Jason Bourne film franchises, drove the new Jaguar XF 240 metres across two 34mm carbon wires which were suspended 18 metres above the Royal Victoria Dock in east London.

Jaguar claims that the stunt showcases how light the new car is. The sky-high tightrope journey showcased the XFs lightweight credentials – its new aluminium body means it is 80kg lighter than its nearest competitor and 190kgs lighter than its predecessor, said Jaguar in a statement.
