Ganderbal, Oct 20 (ANI): In an attempt to provide 24x7 health care facilities available on all public health care centers, the government installed solar power plants in the hospitals in Ganderbal, some 37 kms from Srinagar city in Jammu and Kashmir. The plant which is charged by the sunlight provides regular electricity to the hospital. The plant has been installed at the cost of rupees 43 lakhs with the funding from the central government. Doctors say that they are now able to run the operation theater round the clock and are ready to take up any emergency. The locals are happy as they are getting round the clock health facilities and other procedures. The government is planning to install this solar system in other hospitals as well.
