Fans of The CW's comedy-horror series "iZombie" are eagerly waiting for the next instalment of their favourite show. Though Season 3 of the series has been confirmed, the air dates are yet to be announced. Recent reports suggest the next season will be more thrilling and action-packed than the previous ones.

According to Ecumenical News, "iZombie" Season 3 will most probably air in late 2016 (around October) or early 2017. The website has also stated that a new love story might be showcased in the third season.

As reported by Ecumenical News, a love triangle might be brewing between Peyton (Aly Michalka), Blaine (David Anders), and Ravi (Rahul Kohli). However, the viewers are not unfamiliar with the romantic aspects of the show as Peyton had earlier dated both Blaine and Ravi, but at different times.

Peyton was always more inclined towards Blaine than Ravi, and with Blaine's new personality due to the effects of the cure, Peyton might find herself falling in love with him again.

Beside the love triangle aspect, Liv (Rose McIver) might find herself seeking the answer to her existence and her purpose in life. She has been helping Clive (Malcolm Goodwin) solve murder cases by eating the brains of the victims and finding the cause of their death.

However, it seems she is not the only one who has got such powers, as Major (Robert Buckley) has also turned into a zombie and might join Liv on her mission soon.

In other news, Michalka, who had a recurring role till the previous season of "iZombie" as Peyton, might get promoted as a regular cast member in Season 3. Michalka's character is one of the most admired on the series and viewers are looking forward to see more of her in Season 3.

It seems creator Rob Thomas is also waiting for Michalka's character in the series, and has expressed his interest in seeing Peyton's return for the third season.

According to TV Guide, Thomas said: "I will say I love Aly and we're a better show when Aly is in it... Certainly, if we had all the money in the world she would be a series regular. I wish she were now. We hold our breath each pilot season hoping no one takes away from us. When she left all of the sudden last year, she did a pilot and we didn't know if we'd be getting her back. I'd love nothing better than if she were a series regular."
