The dealers of Volkswagen have started accepting the bookings for its new Vento facelift in India ahead of its expected launch by the end of this month.
Volkswagen Vento facelift is tipped to make its India debut on 23 June and now the latest is that it can be booked with a down payment ranging from ₹25,000-₹75,000.
Powered by the same 1.5-litre diesel engine, which can churn out 103.5bhp power @4,400rpm and 250Nm of peak torque @1,500-2,500rpm with five-speed manual transmission and seven-speed DSG automatic and 1.2-litre TSI and 1.6-litre MPI engines, Vento facelift will be competing with Honda City, Maruti Ciaz and Hyundai Verna 4S in India.
While the 1.6 MPI is expected to return 16.09 kmpl, the 1.2 TSI and 1.5 MT are tuned to deliver 18.19 kmpl and 20.4 kmpl respectively. The 1.5 DSG is likely to give a mileage of 21.5 kmpl.
In its new avatar, Volkswagen Vento will include features like dead pedal, auto-folding electronically adjustable ORVMs, Cruise control and cooled glovebox. As for styling, the facelift is expected to get new re-worked front bumper with three-slat chrome grille and larger air dam.
