Imphal, Nov 29 (ANI): The ongoing Sangai Festival 2013 in northeastern state of Manipur is attracting huge crowd as people are thronging the venue to watch traditional dance performances, exhibition of handicrafts, martial arts and indulge in some exotic music and indigenous food. Sangai festival, which is held annually, kicked off on November 21st at Hapta Kangjeibung, Palace Compound in northeastern city of Imphal. The attractions at the ten-day cultural festival are performances by cultural troupes from Thailand and Myanmar, an exhibition of hand loom and handicrafts, indigenous sports of Manipur and local cuisines of the state, and also aims to highlight state's cultural heritage and eco-adventure activities. Altogether, 600 stalls including 300 standards, 200 premiums and 100 food stalls have been set up and assigned at the festival venue.
