Puri Jagannadh and Nandamuri Kalyan Ram's Telugu movie ISM fared well at the worldwide box office on Saturday, taking its two-day gross collection beyond Rs 10 crore mark.
ISM had a huge amount of hype and expectations built around it and was released in a large number of screens across the globe on October 21. With good advance booking, the movie opened to a decent response and on Friday. The film collected Rs 6 crore gross at the worldwide box office on the first day and became the biggest opener for Kalyan Ram, beating previous records of his Pataas, which grossed Rs 3.5 crore on the opening day.
The Puri Jagannadh-directed action movie garnered a mixed response from audience and critics and the word of mouth helped it maintain steady at the ticket counters on Saturday. When compared to the opening day's collections, the film witnessed over 50 percent drop, which is the usual trend for any Telugu film. But the movie still managed to do decent business on the second day.
ISM is estimated to have collected approximately Rs 4 crore at the worldwide box office on its second day, taking its gross total to Rs 10 crore. The movie is estimated to have earned Rs 3.64 crore on Friday and Rs 2.25 crore on Saturday for its global distributors, whose two-day share has now totalled Rs 5.89 crore.
