Mumbai will bank on the brilliance of Diego Forlan to help them past Goa in ISL 2016IANS

FC Goa grabbed their first point of the season when they held Atletico de Kolkata to a draw in their last match, but Zico's men are still hunting for their first win of ISL 2016. Goa will hope that win comes on Friday when they play Mumbai City FC.

Last year's finalists have made a difficult start to the new season, losing their first three games, before coming away with a point from Kolkata, following a 1-1 draw with ATK.

That point will give a bit of confidence to a side, who have found it difficult at both ends of the pitch. However, confidence alone will not do against a Mumbai City team, who will welcome Diego Forlan back to their lineup from injury.

Zico needs to get his players playing the kind of football that lit up ISL 2015. "I feel that the team is playing well," Zico told reporters in his pre-match press conference. "Even though we lost three games it was quite clear that in two games we could have had a completely different result.

"We lost two games because of our mistakes, not because the opposition played better."

But, what the opposition have done, time and again, is find ways to score past the FC Goa defenders, be that through individual brilliance, team work or as Zico put it individual "mistakes". Goa cannot afford to continue leaking goals, if they hold any hopes of finishing in the top four again.

"For me, it's the entire team not defending well," Zico added. "I feel most of the goals that we have conceded are because of our mistakes. We have to improve as a team to defend and attack better."

What will give Goa hope of a positive result is the fact that Mumbai City FC have not picked up a win in their last three matches. After two 1-0 victories to open their ISL 2016 campaign, Mumbai have drawn two and lost one since, with the team clearly missing the services of their marquee player Forlan. The Uruguayan, however, has been passed fit for this match against Goa, and that will be a big boost for Alexandre Guimaraes' side.
