The Royal Challengers Bangalore must win this match to have a realistic chance of making it to the IPL 2017 playoffs. The Sunrisers Hyderabad are desperate for their first away win of the season.

So, Match 29 of IPL 2017 should give us plenty to get excited about.

Be that from the bats of Chris Gayle, AB De Villiers, Virat Kohli, David Warner and Yuvraj Singh or with the ball from Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Rashid Khan, Tymal Mills and Yuzvendra Chahal.

If RCB bat first:

Plenty of excitement and expectation as Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli stride out, with the Chinnaswamy crowd wanting the superstars to make-up for that dreadful performance against KKR.

They duly oblige, with Gayle not taking too much time to get going. Virat Kohli is initially a little tentative to the balls outside off-stump, but once he times a cover drive to the boundary perfectly, there is no stopping the RCB captain either.

The two batsmen put on 75 runs for the first wicket, with AB De Villiers coming in after Gayle is dismissed by Deepak Hooda.

De Villiers also takes little time to get going and the RCB innings is moving along smoothly, as smooth as can be expected on this slow wicket.

Another half-century partnership and a few runs from Kedar Jadhav later, RCB finish their innings on 171.

That is a really difficult score to chase down on this slow pitch, and David Warner and Shikhar Dhawan begin slowly, knowing the importance of a strong opening partnership. Dhawan then falls while going for a pull shot off Tymal Mills, with the left-hander misreading the pace of the delivery.

Warner and Kane Williamson, however, put in a really nice partnership, keeping SRH in sight of the target.

Yuzvendra Chahal, though, snuffs out any chance of an SRH victory by taking two quick wickets, with Yuvraj Singh's cameo not enough to take the Sunrisers Hyderabad to the target.

If SRH bat first:

Warner and Dhawan begin in solid fashion, taking 47 runs in the Powerplay overs without losing a wicket. They take that partnership to 61, before Warner is picked up by Samuel Badree.

Williamson and Dhawan add about 24 runs together, with the latter then falling to Mills.

Moises Henriques comes in and puts on a nice partnership with Williamson, before Yuvraj, determined to get a score against his former team, goes slam-bang in style to take SRH to 164.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar begins in the perfect fashion by picking up Gayle in the first over, but that is all SRH have to smile about in the second innings.

Kohli is like a man possessed in this run chase and so is De Villiers. The two, determined to put that awful batting show against KKR at the Eden Gardens behind them, go about systematically dismantling this SRH bowling lineup, with even Rashid Khan unable to have any kind of impact.

De Villiers and Kohli put on one of those partnerships for the ages, and as the Chinnaswamy crowd howl in delight, the two superstars of the RCB batting lineup take their team home to give them a much-needed win.
