Zaheer Khan will be in action soon feels assistant coach Pravin AmreReuters

Delhi Daredevils (DD) paceman Zaheer Khan is likely to be fit for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) game, feels the Delhi assistant coach Pravin Amre. Zaheer could not feature in any of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2015 games so far because of an injury ever since he has joined the Delhi side.

Zaheer will not be a part of the playing XI against the Mumbai Indians (MI) as well, which is scheduled to be played on Thursday at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium in New Delhi. Last week, Delhi suffered a major blow when they came to know that Indian star bowler Mohammed Shami will be out of this edition of IPL beacuse of an injury. Zaheer's addition to the DD bowling attack will be a huge boost to their side.

""We are hopeful that by the 26th game he will be fit. But it depends on the physio. Like today he did bowl in the nets, so we are very positive about it," Amre told NDTV Sports.

The Delhi ground has not been a happy hunting ground for them as they have now lost nine consecutive home games and that is the most number of defeats suffered by any team at their home ground. Amre is hopeful that they will be able to bounce back as they face Mumbai Indians next.

"We still have three games here and the two-away wins were also important for us. I think the next game we play against Mumbai Indians will be very important for us," added Amre.
