The opening ceremony of the sixth season of the Indian Premiere League (IPL) is going to start at 7 pm on Tuesday at Salt Lake Stadium, Kolkata.

Bollywood superstars Shahrukh Khan, Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone and international rapper Pitbull will perform infront of around 1,20,000 people in the stadium

Sony Set Max, the official broadcaster of the IPL, will broadcast the ceremony live at 7 pm. The event will be also be streamed online on the official web site iplt20.com.

The first tournament of the sixth season will begin on 3 April with the match between Knight Riders and the Delhi Daredevils, at the Eden Gardens stadium. A total of 76 matches will played between the nine franchisee and it will conclude on 26 May.
