After being beaten in their previous meeting, the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will take on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) again on Wednesday, and this time at their home ground, Rajiv Gandhi Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad. It is the 54th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2013.

Overview:

CSK defeated SRH by five wickets in their earlier meeting this season. Wounded SRH will be looking forward to avenge the defeat before the home crowd.

SRH are placed in the fifth position with 14 points after winning seven of the 11 games played so far. They have chance of improving their ranking if they win with a big margin on Wednesday. They defeated Delhi Daredevils by six wickets in the previous match, and it will boost their confidence.

CSK are currently topping the table with 18 points. They have won nine of the 12 matches played so far and are just a win away from making it to the Play-Offs. But after conceding a humiliating 60-run defeat to Mumbai Indians in their previous match, they will be keen to get rid of the psychological barrier.

Previous Meetings:

CSK defeated SRH by five wickets in their only meeting earlier this season.

CSK met the erstwhile Hyderabad franchise, Deccan Chargers 10 times in the past and won on six occasions.

Team News:

Sunrisers Hyderabad: Shikhar Dhawan, who has made his presence felt since his return to the team, will be expected to give a good start. Kumar Sangakkara, Hanuma Vihari, Parthiv Patel, Thisara Perera, Darren Sammy, Cameron White and others should contribute too if they are to beat some of the teams that have strong batting line-up.

They sent off Delhi Daredevils for just 80 runs in the previous match with Dale Steyn, Thisara Perera and Darren Sammy taking two wickets apiece. Ishant Sharma, Amit Mishra and Karan Sharma also took one wicket each. They will be expected to give a similar show on Wednesday.

Chennai Super Kings: MS Dhoni, Michael Hussey and Suresh Raina are in good form but the batting collapse in the previous match could haunt them. They were bowled out for just 79 runs in the match against Mumbai Indians. They will be looking forward to get out of the humiliating defeat with a win.

Ravindra Jadeja took three wickets, while Dwayne Bravo and Ravichandran Ashwin took one wicket each in the previous match. They restricted Mumbai Indians to 139 runs but the batsmen failed with bats. They will be expected to deliver a similar show against SRH.

Prediction:

SRH are unbeaten at home this season but CSK are a more balanced team. Dhoni's men should win on Wednesday.
