It was speculated before the release of Apple's flagship smartphone iPhone 7 that the Cupertino giant could face a supply shortage with some suppliers not being able to fix low yield rates of their components, and analyst at Yuanta Investment Consulting Jeff Pu even cut his forecasts for iPhone production by few millions units citing technical issues the device could face. Now, supply issue has literally hit Singapore, leaving many fans and consumers disappointed.

Singapore's major carriers like M1, Singtel, and StarHub have admitted that they couldn't deliver iPhone 7 handsets to the customers, who have already pre-ordered, owing to Apple's inability to supply some variants of the device.

"iPhone 7 Jet Black and all variants of the iPhone 7 Plus are currently out of stock," wrote M1 on its Facebook page, a day before the scheduled release date. Singtel has announced that the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus won't be available on Friday after Apple delayed shipment. StarHub also said that the iPhone 7 256GB in Jet Black and Silver won't be available as scheduled due to supply issue.

Major wireless carriers were supposed to make the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus available to their customers in Singapore on Friday.
