Consumer electronics firm Intex Technologies is all set to become India's first company to launch an Octa-core phablet in the country this week.
The new Intex device is said to sport a monster 6.0-inch HD (720x1280p) IPS LCD screen with full metal finish on the back-cover and run on Android v4.2.2 Jelly Bean powered by a 1.7GHz MT6592 Octa-Core processor. This MediaTek chipset is touted as the true Octa-core processor as all eight cores in the chipset are active at all times. In comparison, Samsung's Exynos 5 can work only with four-cores at a time while performing a task on the phone.
