New Delhi based consumer electronics firm, Intex Technologies (India) Ltd has launched the first indigenous eight-core based smartphone dubbed as 'Aqua Octa' in India.

The new phone boasts of a mammoth 6.0-inch HD (1280x720p) display with OGS (One Glass Solution) display technology and runs on the Android v4.2 Jelly Bean OS, powered by the MediaTek Octa-core processor with a max CPU speed of 1.7GHz, making it the most efficient and the fastest device in its class (mid-range phablet).
Other stipulated features include, 2GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt memory (expandable up to 32GB), 13.0-megapixel main camera, 5.0-megapixel snapper on the front, a 2,300 mAh battery.
As of now, Intex Aqua Octa is exclusively offered on Snapdeal for ₹19,999 with an incentive - 3000 mAh power bank and company branded craggy headphone worth ₹3,990 to customers until 8 January. The company claims that the new handset would be made widely available across India from 15 January.
